How to obtain a Nevada ID
This process and the links within are specifically for obtaining an identification card through the Nevada DMV. Please make sure to check with your local DMV or ID issuing authority if you require steps on how to obtain a non-Nevada identification.
Nevada DMV website - Identification Cards: http://dmvnv.com/idcards.htm
Step 1: You will need to fill-out an application for your identification card. The application can be obtained in person at the Nevada DMV or at this link: http://dmvnv.com/pdfforms/dmv002.pdf
Step 2: Make sure you have proof of identity and proof of Nevada residency. The documentation that qualifies as proof of identity and proof of Nevada residency is listed out at this link: http://dmvnv.com/dlresidency.htm
Step 3: Make sure you have the application fee ready. The current fees are list at this link: http://dmvnv.com/idcards.htm
Step 4: Once the Application is filled out, you have the documentation for your proof of identity and proof of residence and you have the application fees ready, you MUST go to the Nevada DMV. They will complete the process with you (which includes processing your application, the application fee and taking your photo).
Step 5: YOU WILL NOT BE GIVEN AN IDENTIFICATION CARD AT THE NEVADA DMV. They will instead give you an interim identification. The interim identification has the same effect as a card identification and can be used most places. For the convention, we require photo identification for registration and current (non-expired) identification for 18+ panels and programming.
Step 6: Your new Nevada ID will be mailed to you within 10 business days from the date you receive your interim ID.
If you require more information regarding obtaining a Nevada ID, please refer to this link: http://dmvnv.com/idcards.htm
NOTE: For registration purposes, we will accept an expired ID card or license. However, any 18+ panels or programming MUST have a current photo ID.
