Setting up a New User

  1. Log in to the mail server admin panel.
  2. Select "snafucon.com" in the "Domain" box in the top right.
  3. Create the new user:
    1. In the left nav bar, under "E-mail Manager", click "E-mail Accounts".
    2. Click the "+ Create Account" button in the top right.
    3. Set the "Username" field to the email address you want to give them.
    4. Set a password, and copy it for later. You can use the dice button on the left end of the field to generate a random password.
    5. Check "Max" next to the "E-mail Quota (MB)" field.
    6. Click "Create Account"
  4. Forward incoming mail to records:
    1. In the left nav bar, under "E-mail Manager", click "Forwarders".
    2. Copy the records email address from an existing entry.
    3. Click the "+ Create E-Mail Forwarder" button in the top right.
    4. In the "New Forwarder Name", put the user's email address.
    5. Under "Add Destination", choose "E-Mail" and enter the records email.
    6. Click "Create"
  5. Set up their Webmail:
    1. In the left nav bar, under "E-mail Manager", click "E-mail Accounts".
    2. Find the user, and click the log in (door with arrow) icon next to their username to log in to their webmail.
    3. In Settings -> Preferences -> Special Folders:
      1. Enable "Show real names for special folders"
      2. For "Junk", select the "spam" folder under "Inbox", not the "Junk" folder
      3. Click "Save"
    4. In Settings -> Preferences -> Server Settings:
      1. Enable "Directly delete messages in Junk"
      2. Click "Save"
    5. In Settings -> Folders:
      1. Select the "Junk" folder, check that the "Information" section says "Messages: 0", then click "Delete" at the top of the right column
    6. In Settings -> Identities:
      1. Configure their main identity and any department emails as described in Email
  6. DM the user their new login information to them in Discord (or however you were talking to them)
    1. As them to log in and change their password ASAP. (You can check when they last changed their password by hovering the question mark icon next to their username on the "E-mail Accounts" page.)

Resetting a User's Password

  1. Log in to the mail server admin panel.
  2. Select "snafucon.com" in the "Domain" box in the top right.
  3. In the left nav bar, under "E-mail Manager", click "E-mail Accounts".
  4. Find the row for the user and click the "+" button on the far right
  5. Choose "Change Password/Username" from the pop-up menu
  6. In the dialog:
    1. Click the dice button to generate a new password
    2. Copy the new password for later
    3. Click "Save"
  7. DM the user their new login information to them in Discord (or however you were talking to them)
    1. As them to log in and change their password ASAP. (You can check when they last changed their password by hovering the question mark icon next to their username on the "E-mail Accounts" page.)
