Radio Use

The use of Radios is important for any staff member within SNAFU. There are a couple of things you need to know.

1. Use of a Radio or Channel without a Repeater

To use a radio without a repeater, just press the PTT (Push to Talk) button on the side of the radio and speak.

2. Use of a Radio or Channel with a Repeater

To use a radio with a repeater, press the PTT button down and wait 2 seconds before speaking. If you do not, your transmission will be cut off.

3. Contacting Someone on the Radio

Contacting someone or a department on the radio should look like this. "Tech to Admin". This shows that Tech is calling Admin. If it was a person it would be "Haku to Origami." The first person in the call is you, the second person is who you are contacting.

4. Things you can not say on the Radio

1. Fuck 2. Shit 3. Piss 4. Cunt 5. Cocksucker 6. Motherfucker 7. Tits 8. Asshole

In other words, be polite on the radio. Refrain from anything that would be considered offensive on the radio. If you say anything like these 8 words, your privileges on the radio will be taken away from you.
