Checking Radios Back In

For the person who is returning the radio:

  1. Bring the radio to Ops and find the person checking radios in/out
  2. If someone is there:
    1. Give the person your radio
    2. Give your radio number and badge number
    3. Let the staffer know if there are were any issues with the radio
  3. If there is no one available:
    • Find someone or wait until later. Do not just leave your radio. You are still responsible for it until we can officially check it in.

For the staffer checking in radio:

  1. Take the radio from the staffer
  2. Find the radio on the form using the number on the radio
  3. Make sure the person returning the radio is the person who checked it out
  4. Ask if there are any issues with the radio
  5. Write the date and time the radio is returned on the form
  6. Make sure the radio is in good condition
  7. If there is anything to note about the radio, do so on the back of the checkout form (or on some white or yellow paper - there is no form for this but a yellow pad would totally work)
  8. If the radio needs to be pulled from rotation, notify Haku immediately or at the earliest possible time
