Logging in

Only SNAFU Con staff members may make changes to this wiki. As soon as you are marked as a staff member, your BACON/Registration login will work here to allow you to make changes to this wiki. Otherwise, you may be able to log in, but will not be able to make changes.

At this time, once a staff member, always an editor. Previous staff may still update this wiki.

Use the "Log In" link in the upper right corner of any wiki page to access the login form.

If your login does not work, please @Admin in discord.

Editing a Page

After you are logged in, an "Edit" link will show on the upper-right of a wiki page.

Click it and you will get a basic text editor. You can use the buttons at the top of the text box to insert some wiki code. Don't worry if you don't get the wiki code right, the basic text is the most important part! You or someone else can clean up the formatting later. Luckily, if you're editing a page, you probably don't need to worry too much about it since hopefully most of the wiki code will already exist.

Creating a new page

If you have red links turned on, you only need to search for that page and you should receive a link to edit it.

If you have red links turned off:

  1. Go to a page, any normal wiki page
  2. Edit the URL to be the title of the new page you want to make

Toggling Red Links

Red Links can be really helpful or really annoying. Red links are links to pages that don't exist. This allows you to link to pages that you think should exist but don't have time, or knowledge, to create right now. You can toggle whether or not you want to see red links in your preferences.

  1. After you are logged in, click preferences in the upper right of the page.
  2. Choose "Appearance"
  3. At the bottom, check or uncheck "Show red links for missing pages"
  4. Save

Categories

You can add a category to a page with the wiki code [[Category:Category Name]] anywhere in the body of the text. For ease of finding it, we have been placing categories at the very top of an article's text.
