Reno Business License

The City of Reno

The City of Reno requires that all sellers have a Reno Business License. If a Merchant does not have a city license, we will provide one for a small fee. The fee is a city fee and is NOT set by the convention. We keep no part of that fee. The provided license is only valid at the convention for the duration of the convention

The city also requires that people or businesses which are advertising themselves (such as handing out business cards or fliers) also have a city license. They consider this as "conducting business." This is a city policy which we have not seen elsewhere.

Nevada Sellers

If a seller has a state business license but not a city business license, they will still need a city business license.

If the seller has a state sales tax ID number, they will put that number on the sales tax return at the end of con rather than paying us the sales tax.
