Cosplay Department runs all things cosplay related. Cosplay provides equipment for the cosplay repair station, hosts gatherings, and organizes the Masquerade. Peace Bonding of props is handled by the Rovers.
Responsibilities
Plan the Masquerade
- Email the Info on the Masquerade
- Review and Update Judging Forms
- Review & Update Masquerade Rule on Site
- Review & Update Judge's Instructions on Wiki
- Make Sure Programming Schedules Things
- Find/Buy Masquerade Prizes In Theme
- Find/Buy Baskets for Prizes
- Make Sure We Have Enough Clear Wrap For Prizes
- Bundle Up Prize Baskets
- Find/Determine Judges (Guests?)
- Email Judges' Instructions to Judges
- Put Together Masquerade Logistics Box
- Plan for a Color Printer During the Rehearsal
Plan Meetups
- Determine what meetups to run
- Schedule meetups
- Determine who is running which meetups
Plan Cosplay Repair
- Review the Cosplay repair box for items
- Budget request missing/needed cosplay repair items
- Schedule the cosplay repair station
Plan Cosplay Chess
- Schedule Cosplay Chess With Programming Dept
- Make sure Board is in good repair
- Make Sure There's a Location Planned
Plan Cosplay Panels
- Encourage cosplayers to run panels (cosplay staff included)
- Help cosplayers sign up for panels
- Make sure Programming schedules panels
- Make sure panelists show up to their panels
Misc Responsibilities
- Determine annual cosplay theme ribbons
- Work with Programming to ensure that all Cosplay-run activities are scheduled.
- Work with Logistics to acquire supplies/prizes as needed.
Cosplay Repair
An area dedicated for the on-site repair of con-goer cosplays. Was the Cosplay Cooldown Room at one point. Was then located as a table in Ops for a couple years until it got its own room again in 2018.

Cosplay Chess
A first for the convention. The board will be located in the Tabletop space.
The board's measurements are 16.7 by 16.7 feet (200 1/2 inches) overall. Each square is about 2 by 2 feet (22 1/2 by 22 1/2 inches) with a 5 1/2 inch border around the outside of the entire board.
